The mind associates certain images and thoughts with feelings and sounds. Any particular combination, particularly when greater emotions are involved, stimulate greater significance to memory, and has a greater impact on your neural nets and identity. Subliminal messages are merely an attempt to associate into your memory banks certain things without you having to consciously come to any sort of conclusions yourself. Your mind has to be perfectly capable of learning in this manner otherwise you would be unable to construct the complex set of neuro-associative combinations and connections required to build the representational system known as "language" to represent meaning in a way that allows communication. Having to have consciously learned language as a child would have been incredibly difficult, especially since awareness largely has to do with a set of information and data points to refer to in assessing where you are and what you are doing and what you are thinking and how to react in a given situation. Without the ability to communicate and associate it would be incredibly difficult to learn without an entirely different processing system than the conscious mind... But, although the typical tendency is for the brain to become less malleable as you age and learn more and rely on representational systems and memory to think rather than creating a whole new structure of associations and recognizing patterns, the process still very much exists and can be manipulated intentionally or not.
Humans must possess the ability to learn. Take for example learning to not touch a hot stove. They need to associate their fear of loud noises and screams and the word "No!" with danger as well as the memory must be associated pain or fear so that they avoid doing it again. Association must exist[1] and thus, that process must also be capable of what we learn, and how we construct our brain's ability to process data and what thoughts and emotions it comes up with regarding certain actions and behaviors. So when people talk about "subliminal messages", "hypnosis" "hypnotic programming" Mind manipulation" and how the television "program" is in fact a "program" for the mind, they really aren't explaining it in a way that people can really identify with since it's already such a natural and normal process while those terms sound so radical, crazy, and unnatural to the learning process. In reality, it's often just branching off learned neuroassociative behavior that the human mind tends to rely on in the first place.
The fact is that any mental manipulation technique merely uses what the brain already is capable of and has demonstrated countless times by the nature of how it operates over the course of a lifetime. So of course people don't "feel" like they are being "programmed" or "manipulated" it is something people would have experienced every day in one form or another regardless of whether or not this manipulation exists. It is not that these techniques "cause" your mind to behave differently, instead, it is just manipulating what input your mind receives, and as a result, effects the output by the natural process that your mind interprets the information it takes in.
The terms many use to describe the process sound so radical to so many that you are better off without using them at all. Those that use terms like "subliminal messages", "mind control", "covert mind manipulation", etc sounds like exactly the type of term that gets lumped in with the type of term used by the [crazy] "conspiracy theorists" which in the mind of the public tends to be this radical, insane fanatical group of emotionally and psychologically unstable individuals, and/or media sensationalists looking for attention. And in many ways, perhaps rightly so.
One cannot read chinesee to people that do not know the language and expect them to understand and to try to do so to someone you know doesn't speak the language is insane. In other words, trying to describe this process to people in a way without giving them the tools to understand what you are really saying isn't doing them any favors. For even if you do convince them, they have attached their understanding of the world to an external source, rather than their own inquisitiveness and reflection of things they know to be true and can derive an understanding from on their own and from observing the world around them.
Many people who profess to be "awake", are instead just manipulated by an alternative group of the sensationalist conspiracy theories and are not truly learning from their understandings of reality, but instead are either accepting or rejecting information, operating out of fear, and being influenced to be "sheep" that merely have decided to follow another shepherd, while professing that it's everyone else that is the "sheep". Both groups are headed to different slaughterhouses so to speak, and choosing to reverse direction and go in one or another is pointless. If you cannot learn to think for yourself, by yourself independent of information, you are not really "free". Merely having someone point you to one set of information rather than another has not liberated you in any way and they do not deserve your energy one bit. Certainly nor do cheap media ploys, fake "beef" between celebrities and controversies that are as staged as wrestling along with their side stories.
But I digress. Advertisers still spend billions on commercials, so the techniques that are used by them, must have at least some effect on your mind or they wouldn't use them. I mean everyone and their mother has already seen so many superbowl commercials advertising for the same 3 companies (among others) over and over again. Yet they continue year after year to advertise. You really think they are going to just make millions off of making maybe a few hundred extra people "aware" of their product that didn't already know about it when their product is low margin to begin with? Yes they might do so, but they also might remind people to buy products, and more importantly, continue to reframe your beliefs and pre-existing associations to get you to associate pleasure with their product, and pain with the alternative.
But it's more than that, they can kill two birds with one stone as a part of greater manipulation as well, many times the intend is veiled to the extremely limited few.
Regardless, subliminal messages are just hijacking the brains natural process of association and learning to get you to "learn" or "conclude" certain things on our own as they want, but usually not immediately, and not directly. The combined bombardment of associations on a daily basis combined with the "communion" of many other individuals who have been exposed to similar associations which will act to reinforce those beliefs (think of kids in junior high/middle school kids trying to fit in with the perceived "cool" paradigm and aligning themselves with similar beliefs, thoughts, ideas, and actions and even how they present themselves). Combine this with learning over many mediums over a long period of time and it's only a manner of time before you develop habits and patterns consistent with the consumptionism they intend on projecting you into, it is only a matter of time and "which product" and personality type / projected archetype you most align yourself with.
Clarification:
[1]I do not mean this is the only way one can operate, it is just how humans are wired and how they tend to use what they work with. Consciously learned association and memory need not be used if one has instinctual understanding which can use memories, but need not do so. Technically we can still have instinct on par with animals as opposed to associative memory, but the human mind behaves differently at times, and must simultaneously be able to abort past neural associations and just react (such as running, slamming on breaks, or avoiding a threat without thinking about how they are going to do so) as well as use the associative memory to avoid dangerous circumstances to begin with. Animals are more in tune with external cues that they can resonate with so they need not rely upon memory to travel from Mexico to Canada and on back like many flying species such as birds and insects.
I have recently been thinking about the movie metaphors, particularly in movies I have seen lately. Is there some way to "wake up" so to speak? Is there some way to "see" outside of one's self, or at least perceive with NO filters?
According to something I once read, consciously you process only around 2000 bits of data, but subconsciously closer to 2million. If you had to consciously remind yourself to feel need for air if you didn't breath long enough and remind yourself to breath, forgetting would be fatal and temporary amnesia would kill you. You need conscious processing to be separate from a lot of autonomic tasks. But your brain is limited in overall processing power, not just conscious processing power. Some estimate that evolution is limited only by bloodflow and that processing power in the brain would be much more capable if it got more oxygen via bloodflow to the brain. Well, there are some "hacks" towards superior intelligence that a lot of geniuses used to do some form of. Geniuses are inspired in a dream or dream like state, or through solitude. Basically, as you begin to fall asleep, not only does your mind enter an altered state, but your body starts to get reduced bloodflow. This is part of "sleep paralysis" that is naturally designed to prevent you from acting out your dream and putting yourself in danger. The bloodflow is then concentrated among your vital organs and your brain. As a result, you may be capable of more complex thought. Certainly many have had the experience where they have a dream where they solve a major problem that was bugging them or come to some stunning realization or perhaps notice something they hadn't thought of before? Well it may be that it is the increased bloodflow and/or altered state that increases ability to connect with one's creativity and intelligence. Certain "hacks" to this involve meditating (being completely still until body falls asleep even as mind remains alert), "nano napping", falling asleep with an alarm clock and then falling asleep again and again with an alarm clock that can stimulate lucid dreaming or waking sleep paralysis (and astral traveling) and even get you into that as a habit. Or "falling asleep on a chair with ball bearings in hand and a wood floor where the sound wakes you up immediately and you immediately write down the ideas that come to you" (Edison did this). Or cross legged sitting up as many monks do while meditating. Einstein and Beethoven and Mozart all mentioned their greatest ideas/symphonies came to them in a dream state, and Einstein would day dream as well as take frequent cat naps.
So perhaps the vivid dreams that are at times more real than real life and allow me greater insight, can help me understand things that consciously my brain filters out. Perhaps I can interact with my subconscious through lucid dreaming to find some of these answers. Solitude, sleep paralysis hacks, and such probably stimulates some of the same concepts of sitting still and thinking with zero distractions that may exist in dream. People likely will sit relatively still and as a result essentially are at least getting to the point where their legs start to fall asleep and mental clarity is brought forth.
I don't really know if in my path I have completely found all of the answers, but I certainly have enjoyed all that I have learned so far, and have the ability to enhance my thought power. I'm starting to also think that there may be cues you can detect provided through forms in a different state of consciousness than you (e.g. mammals, birds, etc) by entering solitude against a tree cross-legged and barefooted (supposedly discharges excess or ionized electrons and "grounds" you and "neutralizes" your energy into more natural state. I have no idea if this is true), while entering sleep paralysis. Then you can begin watching their movement and relating to their perspective and reflecting upon it. At the very least several forms of technology have been constructed that mimic animals and natures own design, and you may be able to draw metaphors based upon what you observe to solve some sort of problem. Either way, the increased stimulus without it being distracting or implanting suggestions such as watching TV or being around humans may be beneficial in keeping the mind away while the body sleeps and may help you access more active parts of the mind (beta) due to the stimulation and movement you can observe while in this state, as well as perhaps elements of a creative side (theta) from being in tune with the earth's natural frequency. Maybe this is conjecture and crazy, but it won't hurt you much to try it and certainly the vitamin D you get from the sun and tan you might get may be beneficial from being outside as well.
I can confirm that I personally have solved problems much more efficiently after sitting crosslegged in the dark at home at night in a state of sleep paralysis, and this mental clarity hits me after awhile... There also is a personal feeling I get from being outside that is unique. So, you should give it a try, shouldn't you?
Cypher betrays Tank in the Matrix movie. You could also say he betrayed Morpheus or Neo or Trinity by killing Tank. Judas was said to have betrayed Jesus in one of the most infamous betrayals in written history. The Matrix betrayal is partially a metaphor for the betrayal of christ as you get deep enough in the movie and connected enough you wil understand.
Initially I did not understand this, I really had to ask myself "why betrayal has to occur in either of these cases, or in general?" And then I could derive the answer internally.
Well, the matrix represents the associations and "construct" (or constructs) that have been made as a result of circumstance rather than choice. Once you learn how to recreate your associations, you have to recognize that the mind is a representational system. And if you are to completely "free" yourself of past associations, that means something is going to have to happen to disassociate even those incredibly close to you, so you can re-associate with the source of love which animates everything and THEN you can forgive and move on. Even though as you will understand later that "love" transcends "causality", as Neo could transcend not only the matrix but the world outside of the matrix by using his power to stop the ships after him. When you have lived almost your whole life guided by causality and circumstance rather than taking control yourself, you will have to break free of past connections with it in order for the concept to truly represent truth. That is why Jesus had to be betrayed by Judas and ultimately sacrifice the physical body to break down everything that seems to be and be reborn as one with spirit and truly become that angelic "godlike" being. Similarly, Neo is "the one" and he is "the one" that must ultimately discover true freedom and lead and teach others to achieve this level of freedom to ultimately control his own destiny without having to manipulate or interfere with others to do it. Cypher had a deal with "Mr. Smith".
Now the Mr. Smith metaphor on it's own is very interesting. "anyone can become an agent at any given time" This means it is hardly Cypher's fault as Mr. Smith was fa more powerful. What Cypher failed to realize was how that would potentially not only be his own undoing but everyone else's and the death of all freedom. He also couldn't see that "The One" through love and the spirit will overcome all. Well, Mr. Smith is an agent of/for what? Change? If so, what kind of change? A chemical agent? To What Ends? A government agent? There may be many meanings here.
"Agent" can be defined as
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/agent
1: one that acts or exerts power
2a: something that produces or is capable of producing an effect : an active or efficient cause
2b: a chemically, physically, or biologically active principle
3: a means or instrument by which a guiding intelligence achieves a result
4: one who is authorized to act for or in the place of another: as
a: a representative, emissary, or official of a government <crown agent><federal agent>
b: one engaged in undercover activities (as espionage) :spy<secret agent>
c: a business representative (as of an athlete or entertainer) <a theatrical agent>
5: a computer application designed to automate certain tasks (as gathering information online)
Since this particular agent / set of agents are trying to uphold the status quo and keep everyone asleep we can certainly say they are exerting power, but can also say they are:
1)representative of a "government agent" such as member of the NSA.
2)A "sociological agent" (social engineer) to bring about change.
3)Since Matrix is a computer metaphor, the 5th definition may apply as it may be a computer application designed to automate tasks, which in this case is to keep everyone "automated" like robots or computers and prevent any independent thought that may transform the program. This is perhaps why synchronistically the same actor who played Mr. Smith also in X Files described the humans as a disease as they are the only species that kill for sport and wage wars (not entirely true. Little does he know or explain that it is only because of manipulation that they wage war on themselves and such, and the manipulation done on the previously healthy cell is the sickness, not the individuals that have been used against themselves as victims of this manipulation)
4)"Chemical agent" to bring about the chemicals in the brain conducive to manipulation and influence, which could be external or internal representation. i.e. Neo is fighting his own emotional associations in the mind and conditioning brought upon the chemicals in the food and consumption in the matrix.
5)A biological agent that produces and emits toxins into the mind and is a poisonous toxin that destroys.
6)The cause to bring about a means to the end results which is a more complicated definition and explanation, but could refer to Mr. Smith being a necessary component to making Neo see what must be done.
I appreciate the ambiguity and multiple meanings here and I would tend to view Mr. Smith as an "agent" as something that has multiple meanings and the whole movie has multiple metaphors all of which can be congruent with one meaning or another or sometimes multiple that can be defined here. The Matrix "trilogy" is one of the deepest philosophical and spiritual movies I know. (Combine Matrix Trilogy with the name "Trinity" and Neo falling in love with
Trinity" and the 3 as a spiritual number, and those with "open eyes" can probably see several meaning there as well). Just as in the nickname Neo can mean "new". As Neo worked in Meta Cortex,
and Meta meaning change can be combined with Neo to signify the "new change" or transformation Neo must undergo. Or it can be interpreted as NeoCortex the
part of the mind responsible for learning. Employed as a "hacker" Neo can
"hack" or rewire his own brain, hence why he was one of few to transform and "see past" the charade of the matrix with a little help, and part of the ingredients needed for him to become "the one", or "oneness consciousness". The same multi-meaning language here applies to Mr. Smith.
There are duel meanings that only occasionally apply, but if we were to narrow this down to the most important one, we can certainly eliminate the actual government agents. Afterall, "at ANY given time anyone can become one". Well I suppose anyone could "sign up", but not in the way it is expressed in the movie. I don't think that is the message. Instead, I think that represents people becoming exactly alike. Dressing alike, responding alike, sounding the same. Although they may be "agents of change" they are also creating change through this sickness by being manipulated and having their own individuality destroyed. You have all the clones of Mr. Smith that are essentially duplicates. In other words, the system can get everyone else turned against each other after crushing their individuality. The black suit&tie covers the heart, symbolic of what has to happen to the person in order for them to become this kind of "agent", they must have their love darkened, and be stuck in the "black/white duality" or binary/linear thinking limited to a conscious mind who is a slave to his subconscious. The agent actually jumps INTO the person through their heart and upper torso area
and then they morph from there and turn into the agent. The binding of
energy only after the darkening of the heart and sickening of the stomach takes place.
Conversely, Neo often fights wearing a T-shirt that is all white to give the look of "one" who is healed from the black/white ying/yang paradigm, and has almost an angelic look. After being transformed his "black" head was shaved to also represent a monk like look, i.e. someone who will enter the path to become one with themselves or this oneness consciousness.
See the dark energy of Mr. Smith also appears to be a different "oneness" that is a clone of everything, where as the Neo achieving oneness taps into something more powerful and pure without losing his individuality.
I personally identify Mr. Smith as the death of individuality which is why they transform into looking alike, talking alike, etc. I don't think sticking with just one translation is the right way to go about it, but if I were to pick one, I'd probably go with either 3 above, the people are merely pawns to be automated and robotic/computer like.
Audio manipulation
is about far more then audio subliminal messages. What is "subliminal" is not
just the volume, but the meaning behind the words which you may not
immediately consciously understand, or the duel meaning behind the words
in which you don't immediately understand. It can be quiet enough that
you can hear noise but can't understand what they're saying. It can be
metaphors and such. It can be words anchoring emotions to intentionally
manipulate your emotions in the future by using that same word. It can
even be in using simple analogies and metaphors that everyone
understands to alter your perception by how it is described. Describing a
rich man as a "generous philanthropist employing millions of people" or a "wall
street fat cat exploiter" may convey entirely different meanings, and cause you to
infer entirely different things about that person, even though it may
be about the same person. Survey's for example have shown what extreme
biases people may have in answering questions depending upon how you
describe a person or event.
More complex double
meanings may intentionally infer certain things
that you may be aware of such as in particular "innuendo". Other
meanings may be far more covert and may be used multiple ways with the
knowledge of the responses it creates and the associations it implants.
Visual anchors may accompany words, and words that sound alike can be
used in place so suggestions may be given covertly. Phrases may be
expressed intentionally to manipulate and embed a command or suggestion
within a sentence talking about something entirely different. You need
not be in a trance for these techniques to work
For example:
"You, like me, understand the value of a good deal, don't you?"
That one sentence/question is absolutely loaded with multiple meanings and influential speak.
That
has just suggested that you appreciate a good deal and prepares you to
avoid the conflict if a deal is offered. If they later get you through
other manipulation to suggest that something would be a good deal, and
they ask you to buy it, you already have the preconceived association
that you appreciate a good deal and that this is one, so your conscious
mind believes it is only logical to buy it. It also phrases the
sentence in telling you what to think, and then creating conflict if you
disagree by presuming that you do, then asking you after it's already
been assumed, if you do. That's like saying, "assuming you like a good
deal, you would find that enjoyable". But they get you to agree and
already COMMIT to what they have suggested, before you even give it much
thought.
You also have to recognize the initial
way it is phrased. "You, like me," Your subconscious will interpret that
in numerous ways, including "you like me" or the command/suggestion
"you like me" and even "you and me are alike" and store for later associations.
But you have just agreed to appreciating the deal (after they already
were so presumptive to implant that agreement, and state so vaguely that
it has to be true since a good deal is in fact something of value), so
by doing so, subconsciously, you have agreed to like the person. The
manipulator has already suggested so and you agreed, so to do anything
in conflict with that would effect the limbic system as if you are
lieing. It is already practically ingrained in you as if it is a belief
simply by manipulative word play.
It also implies that
you and me are alike and we both understand, therefore whatever I
suggest is also what you want... When they come back later and say "do
we have an understanding?" after saying "this is a good deal, right?
Then they say great, write the check to this, or pay this amount for it,
or whatever it is, you have already agreed you have an understanding,
so anything they suggest assumes you agree to it... since afterall,
first they implant the idea you have an understanding and covertly
manipulate you to agree to having an understanding, THEN they ask you
directly if you do once it seems you have all but said you do on ONE
subject, (but in the way it is stated is vague it could be interpreted
multiple ways) then they presume, since you have an understanding with
me, and I am taking that to be interpreted as whatever I choose, you
practically have to agree, and to not agree would cause unnecessary
stress upon yourself since you already HAVE agreed subconsciously
whether you realized it or not.
You can interchange
any duel meaning any word may have, and you may substitute out words in
that phrase to look at alternate meanings that your subconscious takes.
Otherwise, how could you distinguish in a conversation where someone
interrupts, talks with someone else and then finishes what they were
saying Your subconscious takes every meaning it can and then directly
consciously makes you aware of the most likely one, while keeping aware
of other possibilities. When those other possibilities are suddenly
brought back up, the meaning of what you said yes to changes as needed.
Thus "You, like me, understand the value of a good deal, don't you?" can
be interpreted as "you understand", "you like understand(ing)","you
value a deal", "me value you" "me understand you" and many others that
don't even have to be in order. The phrase "good deal" can be
interpreted as "go deal", God heal", "Goad Dee Eel", Goodie Eel and many
others which can then in turn connect to symbolism which can have
various meaning depending upon the individual. All of this other stuff
will probably remain subconscious for the entire conversation and
beyond, but it does create associations that combined with enough
influence over your symbolism and all other mental inputs can connect to
eventually influence how ideals and beliefs are formed about any and
every possible translation. A better example would be the word "train"
which has more ambiguity, particularly in vague context. Train can be
seen as "train" as in training or conditioning, as in preparation, as in
the vehicle ("choo-choo train"). Or it could be heard as to rain, Two rain, Too rain, tour
rain, two reign, etc. eins (german for one) Tour eins, to ray eins, torrey, 'n. To ray, 'n or terrain.
The intent is what determines the meaning, but if the intent is
intentionally vague, it can be used to manipulate, and you have to learn
to see this. Combine that with multiple sounds which could be combined together to sound like entirely different word groups. The way people speak with many different types of accents
and intent can convince the mind they said something entirely
differently, but if you realize somehow that they are talking about
something else, your subconscious can immediately go back and change the
meaning and immediately everything clicks in a few seconds and a conclusion can be made
and the confusion can be resolved. But the information remains there of
all alternate versions of understanding, and all are taken in to create subtle associations.
This was
an extremely small set of examples that I intuitively know in an instant
when I am "in tune", yet look how long it took to describe? And I still
haven't been able to integrate this knowledge into the understanding of
how it relates to the neural associations of the mind that are made and
how it influences everything to keep you responding to what "they" want
you to learn, rather than learning what was intended by the creator.
The best metaphor to understanding this that I've come across is the
"scalar reality" of the atoms, molecules, cells, etc so that you
recognize that the cells are a part of something larger. If the cells
tried to harm other cells, they'd be damaging the body which heals them
and sustains them. In the same sense, because of the way the finite is
connected with the infinite, the individuals try to fight with or
manipulate or allow themselves to be manipulated by this energy is
destroying that which sustains itself... You may not fully understand,
but you will see that tempting others or being tempted was not your
fault. Manipulation on either side was not your fault. That does not absolve you of responsibility to try to heal going
forward, but it does mean you are forgiven for you know not what you did
and it was not your fault, so feel no shame for what is in the past. You did the best you could with what you had, now it is time to heal and move forward and empower yourself.
You
are going to have to at some point learn to connect and identify with
this stuff immediately because there is just far too much to have to
explain for me to be able to do so on my own. And once you fully
understand in your own unique way, you too, will go about and want to
get this message across. Once you learn to see it, you will scoff at the manipulation rather than allow the joke to cause you to release serotonin and dopamine and link the feeling of pleasure to the joke and whatever context they put it in. You will see it coming from a mile away.
There are various "illusions" using audio as well. There is one where you are not really hearing things right as they sound like the pitch is constantly decreasing that can be found on wikipedia under auditory illusions.
There also is the misheard lyrics illusion where you hear one thing and can hear another (pour some shook-up Ramen commercial instead of "pour some sugar on me" as an example).
But then there are subliminal audio where the volume of it is such that you cannot hear it, or just barely can hear it and it is saying things you perhaps can't consciously understood.
Just like audio, this information if loud enough for the subconscious to hear it, or loud enough for you to consciously hear it but because of noise over it you can't make out consciously what it is saying) is still stored in the memory banks for association.
It's not just what the subliminals are saying, but also how you feel while you hear that music. If the music makes you associate whatever is being said with pleasure, you associate pleasure with it. If whatever you hear makes you feel bad or pain, then you associate what is being said with pain. As such, your mind will associate pleasure with certain things and pain with another, and over time will naturally have an inclination to move towards that which you have associated with pleasure, and away with that which you have associated with pain.
This doesn't even have to be subconscious to work, but the technique is something many are unaware of. For example, there may be scary eerie "twilight zone" music" associated with whatever they are talking about on TV when they talk about a particular topic. They may discuss conspiracy theories and have that music and you might feel uncomfortable enough to naturally have a discomfort with that particular subject. I don't consider this "mind-control" by traditional definitions, just "subconscious or conscious" learning that over enough reinforcements will create an identity and a belief system and a paradigm around it, but I don't blame people for calling it that, since the end results is manipulating associations in your mind that eventually distort the thoughts, ideas, and even beliefs you come up with. I think such a term is one that doesn't have as much credibility and a lot of people will immediately be turned off from listening to what you have to say if you try to tell them "mind control exists and it's everywhere!!!" That's also a good way to get laughs and/or sent to an insane asylum. If you instead talk about subconsciously created associations that tend to have an influence on how the brain wires and how learning develops, and you have an informed discussion about it, it sounds much more "normal" as opposed to just looking like a paranoid loon. That just goes to show you the effect that audio and changing the way you say things has on people's perceptions.
If we want to live beyond what other people have programmed for us, or "taught" us, we need to separate how we feel about something and how it stands up to a full examination of the facts. At the same time there is a very difficult balance between that and not seeing things naturally and independent. See that is a form of structure to see things for what they appear logically, and if you see things intuitively it may be more correct at times and may be able to take in experiences in which you aren't consciously aware of. The trouble comes when those things are not congruent with reality, since you are mostly going to still be using "memory" to access it subconsciously. So you need to connect to something larger that can draw upon your memories and experiences as well as the nature around you that is not yet corrupted and give you information that you can use to derive understanding from.
Audio subliminal and associations are nearly as powerful as the visual kind, and to some, audio influence via the mind's natural process to learn may be more powerful, depending on how they learn best. Even though Audio is said to be less effective than visual, I actually think that auditory influence can have more immediate effects. The mind may think in picture, but it already has so many built in associations connecting words to pictures because of how and what people are taught when they're young that you really can speed up the process substantially and influence the pictures that are made in someone's mind.
Audio and visual input will ALWAYS influence you. If it did not, a mother would not react to a baby crying her awake, a man would not defend his family instinctively and protect them after hearing a loud roar or threatening noise, and people would not react to and get any satisfaction out of music and the music industry would not be as big as it is, AM/FM radio wouldn't exist any longer in cars, and movies and TV would be just as entertaining without sound and without background music. Yet for some strange reason (well, it's because that's how people are conditioned and they are so ego centric that they will always think they are in charge of their own thoughts and every thought they had would have existed independent of everything around them), people seem to look at you as if you're nuts if you suggest that the words in a movie, the music in the movie and the sounds made can influence your mind's basic process of learning. But how can you have a thought at all if you aren't drawing upon words you have heard and grown to understand, associations you have made and stimulus in the mind that connects feelings and thoughts with certain sounds, things, objects, etc.
Whether it's a moving speech that uses words that stimulate emotion, or whether it's hearing a loud siren and influences you to avoid that noise or pull over if it's behind you. Or perhaps it's simply memorizing a certain saying to help you remember what has been taught. Ultimately the things we grow to like and dislike have everything to do with association and the mind's natural process to subconsciously seek to find pleasure and avoid pain and protect those we are connected with (usually at a minimum, close family).
So much of what we know or grow to learn is a result of something we have seen or heard. Other senses, particularly emotions/feeling are significant, but there is a strong overlap with those emotions and sight/sound, in addition to many of those emotions are already preconditioned by concept via certain words or descriptions, or perhaps those sounds will stimulate certain visual representations.
For example, if I ask you what color is your car, you can answer it, because at some point you made the memory of your car. If I ask you which way your door lock turns to lock it, you can imagine closing it clockwise. That is visual representation that can be stimulated by words. But certain visual representations have strong emotions associated with them, particularly those in which you have had a traumatic experience with.
If you imagine having just finished running a long race and being on your way home. You run into someone attractive and you are asked to walk her to her car (or him) and you do but on the way you cross by a dark ally and you hear a snarl and out of nowhere comes a 15 foot tiger with sharp teeth growling out as he slowly sneaks up on as you turn around you see him crouching like he is getting ready to strike and he starts to pounce you probably could notice at some point that your heart rate increased. Hearing the voice describe the event may also have more of an effect than seeing the words, and certainly actually seeing a movie in a movie theatre with surround sound filmed as in first person could make your heartrate increase.
Everything from imagining running to imagining someone you are attracted to, to seeing a stressful or dangerous situation unfold all are things that if you imagined them vividly enough will increase your heart rate because your subconscious believes that imagination or image to be real. Here we have your eyes seeing representations of words via letters on the screen, your voice reading the words on the screen outloud and you making a picture based upon those words in your head, and a feeling associated with that. This is why many people read books because of the emotional influence it has just in the same way people watch movies or TV shows because of the ability these shows have to influence your emotions.
The point is, much of our senses are linked and capable of producing emotion based upon the other.
It is this link that creates "learning" in the sense that your mind is creating associations that place a more specific point in time and space with events surrounding it. The more powerful the emotion the more significant the memory may appear. I bet just about everyone in America remembers where they were on September 11th 2001.
But September 5th 1998? Or August 3rd 2005? Probably not so much unless that is a friend or families birthday or significant date to you personally. Emotions influence the SIGNIFICANCE of memory.
This is why certain lyrics can be memorized more easily than others. It doesn't take me many times of listening to Eminem's hate filled music and clearly articulated lyrics with loud base thumping for me to be able to recite every single word without even trying. For others, they may have more of a connection emotionally with other songs. Nevertheless, you need to know the effect audio can have on you, and how the process of learning and communicating synchronistically with the larger mind is hijacked through manipulation and audio manipulation (and visual) by those trying to control who are separated from the awareness of the infinitesimally small and infinitely big and awareness and connection to this.
At some point I will get into examples, but whether they are subliminal whispers, metaphorical usage of words, duel meanings and innuendo, subliminal/covert suggestion and hypnotic language or simply leveraging the fear of loud noises to control your fight or flight response, I assure you the sounds you hear effect your brain chemistry which in turn influences the associations you create when it comes to certain audio and meaning you project to certain things, words, concepts, ideas, etc.
Your atoms make up molecules which make up tissue which make up cells which make up skin tissue which make up organs which make up systems (such as the nervous system), which make up a body. Each one of those aspects must work together in harmony with faith for the system to continue and not break down. They must have unwavering faith that what they do will be for a higher good. If they begin to act independently, attacking other cells or leaching onto the cells reproductive capability to grow at a rate for it's own purposes, this is known in the body as a disease.
Faith is necessary for survival of cells, or at least an entire "body" of cells. Similarly, for a particular system in reality, faith is necessary. The financial system breaks down for example when people lose faith that their money is there, or that the currency will be redeemable by others. Without faith in the court systems, the economy breaks down because people don't believe or have faith in things like the concept of "ownership". It works far beyond the economic system, or court system, but that is probably the easiest "system" for me to use to illustrate the importance of faith in ones self and one's fellow man/woman and/or in a particular "system".
The human species for survival needs not this exclusive "self interest" "survival of the fittest" mentality, or worse, using power to bring harm to other people. And they certainly don't need to only help others because of and through an aggressive "medium" of some sort. It is Synergy that allows us to be much more powerful by cooperation than by working independently. Self-interest can certainly within the right system collectively serve society in a productive way, but synergy allows there to be more influence and mutual beneficial assistance for a better world for everyone.
Now what I am still trying to learn and explore...
I think there is a great reality we are mostly unaware of that functions as a result of our efforts. In other words, if you think of individual cells working together in harmony with different sometimes separate functions to produce and maintain a healthy body as unaware of the results of it's effort and the larger collective as a metaphor for what humans do when we work together for the great cell known as the earth and the great unknown beyond the solar system and galaxies and universe, then perhaps you might get a general idea. Carl Jung had referenced a "collective unconscious" in relationship to cell inheritance when he talked about the "collective arm" but also alluded to a presence of a divine mind connecting basic archetypes together. Ralph Waldo Emerson discussed of an "over-soul". Adam Smith referred to an "invisible hand" but mostly referred only to the productive abilities of society and material, for societal and technological advancements and didn't really go beyond that. I believe in spite of man's attempt to hijack the natural tendency of humans to gather and rejoice spontaneously and believe in something greater, that a general sense of faith is a component of a healthy society. It is not about having to define it by a representational system such as language because it transcends that and incorporates many of the elements that wise men and woman have discussed. It is not about giving this greater collective a name. It is about harmonizing in love in that there is something greater and believing in faith and that everything will work out. Cells work in harmony together to produce something greater than themselves and this concept is in many ways explained and defined by the word "synergy".
But although I have different ways of expressing my understanding, I still feel in many ways the initial video understands and explains it better, but this text can serve as a quick supplement for those without the time, only willing to skim and go back if they find it interesting.
Ultimately though, this is the intuitive knowledge and harmonious love that I feel in some ways transcends the basic 5 senses which are filtered through the amygdala and subject to delusion and manipulation and false associations and contradiction and biases that you really must "connect" with to like Neo, truely become "the one".
So ultimately learning to unlearn require:
1)Diet and exercise to counteract gluttony and compulsive responses of eating (much of which has already been preconditioned through various mediums) while maintaining a healthy body that is relaxed and not overly stressed from fear.
2)It requires an awareness to "see the code" and really understand how one learns through associations and what associations are formed on a regular basis as a learning process
3)It requires you tio take moments to "unwind" and sit in solitude or stimulate awakening sleep paralysis where body is asleep while mind is awake for higher cognitive functioning and relaxation.
4)This one requires you to develop a filter before reacting which means learning to stop, think about what you want to say in the mind first consciously, then say it afterwards so you can be clear and articulate. Learn to develop that same filter before you type something. Do this for at least 3-4 weeks to form a habit.
5)It also requires you to be very aware of everything that has been used "against you". By that I simply mean that has been an influencing factor in drawing about associations that form identity, belief systems, and paradigm that form the way you operate in reality. The reason I say it that way is because that occasionally may be against your best wishes or goals... even if you think it was of your own.
This part we will talk about subliminal influences. Then we will get into GOALS. Forming goals and eliminating the belief systems and re-framing them to be more consistent with those goals.
Subliminal influences get you to associate a particular topic or word or concept with a particular product. Check out this advertising leaked training manual for example. Knowing what you now know, you can recognize the neural association and you can now really understand some of the other things that also go on here to subconsciously get you to form concepts even bad for your health such as "cigarettes will save you" when you know that consciously they will only cause you the destruction and harm and early death. Unfortunately the concept is formed and repeated to potentially hold more significance than what you have been told or what you read in health class.
Unfortunately, subliminal images and subliminal sounds are not always visible when you know where to look or what theme they speak of. Actually most are far enough below conscious processing that even if you know exactly what to look for and where, you won't be able to see it. For example, here is a picture with a few shades of the same color. Each with a message and a number to illustrate the different shades.
Here you should be able to see all of them if you really look, but the first one you have to really look carefully. But what if I fine-toon the shades to have even smaller differences... and rather than use a darker color I start with the darker one?
How about now? How many can you count? I can consciously make out two really, but there are actually many more. I changed the hue or luminosity or the amount of red, blue, or green pixels a very small amount with no particular order and no numbers as a reference. I guarantee you there are over 5 instances of the word win in this photo that exist, but even if you know where to look you probably still won't see it. That is my point. You can draw it or type it and you can change the way you look at it, but ultimately it still is below what you can consciously notice. There appears to be no difference in shade or color but there is and your subconscious knows it. So some subliminal messages will just automatically form associations because your subconscious mind is able to notice and observe what your subconscious does not.
I read somewhere that your conscious mind is capable of processing about 2000 bits of information at a given moment, but your subconscious processes closer to 2 million. This is what your brain needs to be able to do in order to form connections and explanations. The sound "train" or even the word as you read it has multiple meanings but if someone says it they could easily be saying two words "to rain" or "terrain" or "someone with the last name "Torain". The brain actually simultaneously subconsciously holds multiple meanings and then must compose the most relevant and likely one and brings it into conscious awareness automatically. In the case of optical illusions we can clearly observe that it isn't always right and will cause you to hallucinate a reality that isn't there (the perception of a lighter shade that is just shaded by light rather than an equal or darker shade with the false perception of shadow). But it needs to learn very in depth association so it can recognize multiple permutations of ways things could occur. A spider could look much different than another spider you saw before. You may not know which one is dangerous and poisonous but you require the ability to avoid it even if it crawls differently and moves differently across a much different background in a different part of your eye. The brain needs the ability to do this (they say the brain will "assimilate" similar data), but in the process it means on a regular basis multiple things will probably slip right by you without you realizing what your brain/subconscious is doing or how it is learning. Most people are not prepared to be conscious of everything, or they could not handle it all. Unfortunately this can be used against you though. Fortunately if you learn to re-examine and reconsider and re-associate and become like Neo and "see the code" and be able to change it you will be able to make tremendous strides.
It's important to understand what you have probably already been taught
that "the nervous system doesn't distinguish between a real and imagined
event". But you also need to understand that "imagined event" can be
substituted for the word "image of the event" or "simulated projected
reality(movie) of the event" For example...
One of these two image likely caused your heart rate to either race faster or skip a beat. In fact, you may have even looked ahead and stopped reading what you were as a natural response to assess the threat. Maybe even both had an effect if your fight or flight response system is sensitive enough to look for potential threats after seeing the first one. That is the fight or flight response. It may not have triggered for everyone or have triggered nearly as much as it would in a real situation when facing danger. Yet either way there is at least some emotional response or freakout. My guess is, it probably isn't the picture of a non-threatening picture of a bag with a picture on the bag that gets you the most, though and this is actually a valuable lesson to be understood here.
I hope you are prepared to learn this for yourself, rather than simply to tell you. To tell you would mean you are depending upon an external source to come to greater awareness, where as allowing you to find this on your own would be enabling your own creative power to learn to recognize what is going on. Unfortunately not everyone will get this. Please stop and reflect on this for awhile and see what understanding you get to. answer "why does the picture of the bag of the less threatening saber tooth tiger appear so much less threatening and have minimal if any effect on your nervous system"? Answer that before continuing.
Hint, how closely associated with a "threat" is a picture of a picture of something and how threatening is a smaller size? and How threatening is something staring you down? There are many answers here, try to get as many as you can.
The main reason is how strong the association is with a particular threat. By converting memory into a less threatening mental picture, you can control how memories impact you as you disassociate yourself from the threat. The one image looks like a direct threat or at least is a picture on a computer screen of what seems to be a threat. But the picture of a bag on a computer screen which has a picture on the bag of a picture of a depiction of a illustration of a non-threatening size of a similar image does not have the effect because of all the layers of "disassociation".
When you can learn to disassociate, you can learn to "cancel" or at least decrease the effects of a particular association. When you learn to be conscious of what is occurring subliminally you also may be more able to reject the association.
This is just one of many mental techniques, that can be intuitively understood once you learn to develop your own creative force and connection to the self and "spirit", but can help you to learn how to take control of your own brain. Disassociation means changing the location of the threatening image or memory, changing the colors of it to make it black and white or less real. Changing the sounds associated with it and perhaps replacing them with artificial funny sounding characters, rather than threatening ones, changing the size and shrinking it to reduce the effects and changing the feeling of it by imagining a different experience that is more neutral and associating that experience with it. The one problem is if it is a phobia and for example you are afraid of rats and you associate that with say a beach of waves crashing in, you not only may reduce the feeling of rats but may also intensify and generate a phobia of water. You have linked the scary phobia with the peaceful waves that rather than disassociating the rats, you have associated the waves. You have to disassociate the image and make it non threatening first, and you also have to do this from a mental state where the fight or flight is not active and then you can make an association. Some psychologists and "trained hypnotists" have tried to get smokers to replace their desire for smoking with something they really dislike such as cod liver oil and instead they just compulsively drink cod liver oil instead of smoking rather than not wanting to use or consume either. But you really have the internal power, and just telling you what to do is not the same as enabling you to see how to be inspired to learn on your own how to control your mind from this understanding. So you have to be aware of what is going n in your mind and how the fears and phobias and addiction and things you feel neutral about work. If you try to associate pleasure with something dangerous, you can just develop the desire to seek dangerous situations out, rather than reducing how you feel about these threats so you are less irrational. So this is why it is very important that you understand how the mind works first and know the context from which you must apply this technique.
Since your mind mostly uses representational systems to represent the reality around you, you can do some amazing things just by using your imagination. This is how you can just imagine new associations to cover over the old ones and really essentially reprogram your mind. Unfortunately, this is also how associations are created for you without you being consciously aware sometimes even no matter how you try.
For example, there are some "subliminal whispers" that even if you listen the sound is too soft and below conscious threshold. Sometimes the images that you see are too similar to notice a distinction between two colors and a 97% transparent image will be drawn over the initial image. Some layers will be obvious (but only after you know where to look) others will no matter how hard you look not be visible.
So now that you know this, you can recognize the beliefs you have, aren't entirely yours. The emotions are sometimes just programmed or preprogrammed triggers. Accept no shame or guilt for those reinforce the cycle. Instead, begin to heal. Do you think people really want to be addicted to destructive behaviors? Is that in the best interest of survival? Beliefs are formed through experience, situation, association and then using those systems you might then rationalize according to how aware you are. When you realize this, you can form new goals consistent with what you want. The problem that I wrestle with is... If I mostly am a composition of associations that were constructed primarily through circumstance, how can I define that a desire is actually mine? Well, you can't, which is why you must get a handle on the greater reality. I think kids are naturally born wanting to use their abilities to help others. It is only when something gets taken from them or they get scared that they at some point, rather than giving away their favorite toy to make people happy, they look at it and pull it away and say "MINE!" That is when many begin to see things (materialistically) as something they want because others have them or because they want it for themselves, and unfortunately that desire is misguided and not really true to the nature we are born with before a false sense of threat is introduced. Give a kid something then rip it away forcefully in a way that scares him, and that is when he is trapped. Instead make him aware that it is temporary, give him time to give it to you back after the time is up, or let him know he will have to put away the toy and he is more likely to be understanding.
And so before I get into goals I want to cover a few other things to really explain this all the way that I feel I need to. Afterall giving people the keys before they know how to drive is very dangerous, you must learn this first. You must learn how to walk and develop the strength and balance before you can run.
